Hi, my name is Scott Hurtado and my team and I will try to keep things as simple as possible in this Policy because, as we all know, privacy policies can be confusing at times. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me via the contact page.

In this Agreement, when we say “you,” “your,” “Customer,” and “Client,” we mean you, the owner of the ScottHurtado.com Account and the person utilizing the Service, Products, or Consulting that we offer. When we say “we,” “our,” “us,” “Provider,” and “ScottHurtado.com,” we mean us as a business and entity.

This Policy explains how we use any information about you that you provide to us (which might identify you), or that we collect from you when you use our website (which is unlikely to identify you). So please take the time to read it because it forms part of the terms for each site and you accept it when you use our sites.

(A) OUR POLICY

(a) If you provide information to us when using our site, you are considered automatically consenting to the collection and use of your personal information. You may be giving us your personal information when you are:

  3. iii. subscribing to our newsletter;

(2) We can’t control what others do with the personal information you’ve disclosed publicly on our site.

(C) ANONYMOUS DATA

(1) When you visit our site, our support service providers like web analytics services can record certain anonymous information in relation to your visit, such as:

  2. ii. basic domain information;
  3. iii. your Internet service provider, depending on the configuration of your ISP connection;
  4. iv. the date and time of your visit to the website;
  5. v. the length of your session;
  6. vi. the pages you have accessed;
  7. vii. the number of times you access our site within any month;
  8. viii. the size of file(s) you look at;
  9. ix. the website that referred you to us; and
  10. x. the operating system which your computer uses.

(2) We only use this information for statistical and website development purposes and to improve our products/services to you. It will not tell us who you are.

(D) SECURITY

(1) Our site does have security measures in place to prevent the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information that we obtain from you, but we make no assurances about our ability to prevent any such loss to you or to any third party arising out of any such loss, misuse, or alteration.

(E) WHEN WE HAVE TO UPDATE THIS POLICY

(1) Requirements around privacy are often changing and improving. As a result, we will probably need to change this Policy from time to time.

(2) We reserve the right, at any time, to add to, change, update, or modify this Policy to reflect changes in our Privacy Policy, for any reason or no reason, and without prior notice.

(3) When we do amend the Policy, the changes will be effective right away.

(F) SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES

(1)Sometimes we might have an obligation to use or disclose your information in special circumstances, such as:

  1. i. We tell you about the intended use or disclosure and you don’t object to that use or disclosure;
  2. ii. We believe that the use or disclosure is reasonably necessary to assist a law enforcement agency or an agency responsible for governmental or public security in the performance of their functions; and
  3. iii. When we’re required by law to disclose the information.

(G) INTERNATIONAL TRANSFER OF INFORMATION

(1) Our servers and information processing equipment are located in a number of countries around the world, so the information collected from you will be stored in those countries.

(2) By voluntarily providing information to us when using our site, you are consenting to the collection and use of your personal information to us, including the transfer to another country.

(H) BEHAVIORAL ADVERTISING COOKIES

(1) Occasionally, we may use third party advertising companies to serve ads based on prior visits to a site. These advertising companies use cookies to anonymously collect data. No personally identifiable information is collected by these cookies.

(2) The anonymous data collected by these cookies is separate from the data we collect when you provide us with your personal information.
