The 11 Books Every Entrepreneur MUST Read!

Spread the love

I love reading and learning new things. You can say that knowledge is my addiction. I spend a ton of money every month to further my knowledge.

I often go online and buy hundreds of books (literally hundreds) so I know a thing or two when it comes to what a good book is. If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen me post pictures of the books I get shipped to me. Here’s my Instagram: @ScottHurtado

Books are indeed AWESOME!?

Well, okay, some books are awesome and others are not. I want to share with you some of my best reads that I go back to again and again.

The 10x Rule (Grant Cardone)

– I can tell you without a doubt that if you apply to your life all the stuff that’s in this book, you will be able to achieve whatever goal or dream you desire.

This book is hands down one of the best books I have ever read and I can’t say enough good things about it. Out of any of the books in this article, if you can only afford one book, this is the one you should get.

Everybody Writes (Ann Handley)

Everyone writes; they post their updates on Facebook, write text messages, and some of us write blog posts, books, and sales copy for our products and services.

This book lays down some great stuff that you can use whenever you’re writing. I keep this book on my desk at all times. When I’m writing, I often reach for it to look up something that can help me polish my creation or even just for inspiration.

DOTCOM Secrets (Russell Brunson)

I read this book from cover to cover in one sitting, it’s that amazing. I really connected with this. At the time I bought this, I was in the process of creating something. When I started reading it, I couldn’t stop because it clarified to me that what I was creating was very important.

This book is a must-read for any business owner, entrepreneur, or blogger. It has some great stuff about autoresponders, product creation (value ladder), and many other things that I highly recommend.

Virtual Freedom (Chris Ducker)

I have always loved the idea of having others help you with tasks before I ever had a business. It’s exactly what the title says: “Virtual Freedom,” which means you have freedom due to other people’s assistance. Outsourcing is an amazing opportunity that didn’t always exist online, but once it took off, it definitely changed how business was done.

You can outsource almost any kind of job or task nowadays to people who are well qualified, from simple website fixes to complete year-round jobs. I ran my business for a long time without hiring a Virtual Assistant and that was a big mistake on my part.

I could never go back to being a solo entrepreneur again! Having others help you in your business gives you the time to put your energy into more important tasks. I highly recommend you pick up this book because it will walk you through the process of hiring virtual assistants, all the way down to managing your entire virtual team.

This is indeed a great book and a great author (Chris Ducker – chrisducker.com).

Mindset (Carol Dweck)

I have always been a mindset guy and I love to teach others about it. It’s only natural for me to want to buy a book about mindset stuff and training. Most people don’t really know their potential when it comes to their mindset. They just think their life sucks because that’s what was planned for them. This is far from the truth. Your mindset is what drives you to success. If you don’t have a positive mindset, it will be a very difficult road for you to achieve your goals.

I highly recommend this book because it will open some doors in your mind that you never knew existed. If you’re unfamiliar with how a mindset works, then I must insist you pick this book up because … it can quite literally change your life forever!

The 11 Books Every Entrepreneur MUST Read!

Sell or Be Sold (Grant Cardone)

This is another great book by Grant (I’m a fan of that guy!). I kept turning the pages because this is the most comprehensive one I have ever read on sales.

There are two things I want to tell you about this book: first, Grant does an amazing job of setting the foundation for you to build on with sales. That section alone is worth the price of the book.

Second, Grant talked about and explains why “people knowledge” is more important than “product knowledge” in selling. I couldn’t agree more.

People’s knowledge is far more important in sales than product knowledge ever could be. It is a game-changer and this book will teach you how to do that and much more. I highly recommend you buy this book because it’s a must-read.

Traction (Gabriel Weinberg, Justin Mares

Every entrepreneur needs traction in their creations and this book will help you do that.

There’s loads of ways to get people into your creations, whether it be SEO, paid traffic, or social media, among others. This book will help you build a plan that you can start getting results from.

I recommend this book to anyone who is creating a product or service, or who has a blog, YouTube channel, social network account, or starting a business as an entrepreneur.

Sell to Survive (Grant Cardone)

This book is just downright AMAZING! Grant shares my outlook on life. I read this book from cover to cover in one sitting. It’s a great read and there are incredible insights on how you should sell to survive.

The funny thing about this book is that I bought a used one because that was all I could find on Amazon. I paid $36.72 for the used book and I thought it was a bit expensive. Now that I’ve read it and I know what’s inside, though, I would happily pay even ten times that! You need to buy this book, even if you have to buy a used one. It’s definitely worth it.

MONEY: Master the Game (Tony Robbins)

Listen, life is abundant and you can have anything you put your mind to. I have always loved Tony Robbins for his incredible personality and insights about life.

This book was the first book I ever read of his and it’s something I really loved. It’s a great book that you need to include in your library.

Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion (Robert B. Cialdini)

As I sit here and write about this book, I can’t figure out why it took me so long to write a recommendation for this. I read this book a few years ago and it changed the way I did things. The author believes that influence is a science, just like I do.

The book introduces you to six principles of ethical persuasion: reciprocity, scarcity, liking, authority, social proof, and commitment/consistency.

A chapter is devoted to each and you will quickly see as to why influence is a science. I highly recommend this book to all professionals at all levels in their life.

If You’re Not First You’re Last (Grant Cardone)

This is the book that will WOW you. I really love Grant Cardone and his ability to wow me every time I read one of his books. This book is a gold mine, to say the least.

Getting yourself out into the market is a scary thing right now. This book will give you the advantage and the opportunity you need to kill it out there. The book will show you how being in the mode of thinking will get you to come out on top. Great book, great read, and worth much more than the cover price.

I love to read and learn something new every day. I sometimes read so much I go through an entire 300-page book in a few hours (if it’s a really good book I can sink my teeth into).

I am compiling a huge list of all the books I have read and I will be posting it soon to give you the best books to pick up and read. It’s a big list and I know you will benefit from it. In the meantime, check out these eleven books because they’re all winners!

Leave your comments below on what books you like because I am a book whore and I’m always looking forward to having new books to read.

Here’s a fact for ya: I have gone on Amazon (more than once) and ordered thousands of dollars in books at once. Yeah, I know I have a problem.

However, knowledge is power and I have a shit ton of books that I need to consume. Thanks for reading! Please share this article using the social share buttons on this page.
